Sukhasana or Simple Cross Legged Sitting Posture in Yoga Practice

Sukhasana is an asana sitting in a simple cross legged position. It is widely advocated for Yoga Practice of Elderly Persons. One can sit in this position for any length of time, but if one practices this pose for a longer time, one should be sure to alternate the cross of the legs in between. In fact, as a child one might have naturally sat in the Sukhasana being happy, relaxed or playing. However, as one gets more used to sitting on chairs or sofas than on the floor, the Sukhasana may not feel as easy as before. However one can get the body used to this easy yoga pose once again, with regular practice.
